Mauritius Newborn Photographer

Natural, simple, connected

Capturing the Magic of New Beginnings

Your little one is only tiny for a moment…and those fleeting first days deserve to be remembered forever. As a mother and a photographer, I know how important it is to hold on to the early moments that make your heart swell. That’s where I come in.

In the comfort of your home or a beautiful outdoor location, I’ll capture your newborn’s first moments with the love and authenticity that only a parent truly understands. My approach to newborn photography is gentle and natural, focusing on your family’s unique connection and the tender, unscripted moments that unfold when you’re simply being yourselves.

Newborn sessions with me are all about simplicity and connection. Whether it’s the quiet snuggles with your little one, the first peaceful nap, or the warmth of a sibling’s first kiss, I aim to capture the raw beauty of this special time. No stiff poses, elaborate props, or forced smiles, just genuine, meaningful moments that you'll treasure for a lifetime.

I work at a pace that feels comfortable for you and your baby, allowing plenty of time for breaks, feedings, and bonding. My goal is to make you feel at ease, so you can focus on what matters most: your growing family.

What to Expect

When to Schedule Your Newborn Session

The sweetest newborn moments - those curly little poses, the sleepy stretches, the total stillness - happen in the first 5 to 14 days of life. This is the window I recommend for your session.

Why so early?

Newborns in their first two weeks are still beautifully curled and deeply sleepy, which makes for the most peaceful, intimate images. After that, they become more alert and harder to settle — still gorgeous, just a different kind of shoot.

When should you book?

Don't wait until baby arrives. I recommend booking during your second or third trimester to secure your spot. I hold a tentative date around your due date and confirm once your little one makes their entrance.

What if baby comes early or late?

No stress! That's completely normal and expected. We'll adjust your date accordingly. Babies write their own schedules and I plan for that.

A gentle reminder:

I only take a small number of newborn sessions each month to ensure every family gets my full attention. If you're due in the coming months, now is a great time to reach out.

Meet Your Newborn Photographer in Mauritius

As both a photographer and certified birth & postpartum doula, I understand this season on a deeper level. You're in good hands.

Hi there! I'm Sita, a newborn and family photographer based on the West Coast of Mauritius, and a certified birth and postpartum doula. That combination isn't accidental. I've spent years walking alongside families in their most tender, transformative moments… and I know that the newborn season is unlike any other.

I Get It, Because I've Lived It

As a mother of three, I know how fast it goes. One day you're counting tiny toes, and the next you're wondering where that newborn smell went. I bring that understanding to every session — not just as a photographer, but as someone who genuinely knows what this season asks of you.

What a Session With Me Feels Like

There's no rush, no pressure, and no stiff posing. I create a calm, unhurried space where you can just be with your baby while I quietly document the truth of it: the way your baby curls into your chest, the look on your partner's face, the tenderness you didn't even know you were showing.

Why Mauritius Make it Even More Special

Whether we shoot in your home or somewhere along Mauritius's stunning coastline, these images will take you back; not just to what your baby looked like, but to exactly how it felt.
